Terms and Conditions for Arcane Tints
Effective Date: October 26, 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to our website, arcanetint.com, and to every service we perform for you. We are based at 10340 Camino Santa Fe Ste G, San Diego, CA 92121. When you browse our website, send a request or book an appointment, you agree to the terms below.
1. General Terms of Use
When you use our website, send us a form or book a service, you confirm that:
- You are 18 years of age or older, or you have permission from a parent or legal guardian
- The details you give us are complete and accurate
- You will follow all applicable local, state and federal laws
- Arcane Tints may update website content, reschedule or cancel appointments, or decline any job at our discretion
2. Scope of Services
Arcane Tints provides automotive window tinting for cars, trucks, SUVs and Teslas. Our services include:
- Car window tinting
- Mobile window tinting
- Old window tint removal
We tint vehicle glass only. We do not tint homes or offices. We install GeoShield ceramic and carbon window films.
You can bring your vehicle to our shop in San Diego. We can also tint at your location in San Diego County. Final results can differ based on the age and condition of your vehicle, the type of glass, weather and how well the vehicle is cared for after service.
3. California Tint Law and Your Shade Choice
California Vehicle Code Section 26708 sets different rules for each window position. Front side windows must let through at least 70% of visible light with film and glass combined. Rules for the windshield, rear side windows and back glass are different.
Our team will walk you through these rules and recommend a film and shade. The final choice is yours. You are fully responsible for that decision when you choose a shade darker than the legal limit and receive a citation.
California allows medical exemptions in some cases. Ask us if you hold a signed letter from a licensed physician. This section is general information, not legal advice.
4. Quotes, Pricing and Appointments
Any quote given online, by phone, by text or in person is an estimate. It is not final until we confirm it. Your final price may change based on:
- The film line you choose
- The number of windows and the amount of coverage
- The size and condition of your vehicle, and how curved the glass is
- Old film already on the glass, since removal adds labor
- Extra services added to the job
A deposit may be required to hold your appointment. We will tell you the amount and the terms when you book. To reschedule or cancel, please give us as much notice as you can. Once film has been cut for your vehicle, a change of film type or shade may cost extra.
5. Payment and Refund Policy
Payment is due when your service is complete, unless we agree on a different schedule in advance. We will tell you which payment methods we accept when you book.
Please inspect your vehicle before you make your final payment and take your keys. Refunds are not issued once installation has started. We address any covered defect through our warranty process.
6. Warranty Information
Your GeoShield film comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty. The film maker stands behind the product. Coverage terms depend on the film you choose.
Ask us what the warranty covers and how to make a claim before you book. Keep your invoice and any film paperwork with your vehicle records. We also give every customer care instructions after installation. Following them helps your film perform its best.
7. Vehicle Condition Acknowledgment
Arcane Tints is not responsible for conditions that existed before your vehicle arrived, including:
- Cracks, chips or other damage to the glass
- Weak or damaged defroster lines and antennas
- Old, damaged or poorly installed tint or film
- Scratches, wear or damage to door panels, seals and trim
Removing old tint takes heat, solvents and careful scraping. Even with care, this can damage defroster lines, antennas or glass that are already weak. By approving tint removal, you accept that risk.
We look over your vehicle before work begins. We will tell you about any existing issues we notice before we start.
8. Curing and Aftercare
Window film needs time to cure after installation. Keep the tinted windows rolled up for the time we recommend. Hold off on cleaning the inside of the glass until we say it is safe.
A slight haze or a few small water pockets are normal at first. They come from leftover slip solution and fade as the film dries. Call us if spots remain after the curing period.
9. Liability and Disclaimers
We take care with every vehicle. Arcane Tints is not liable for:
- Damage to glass, paint or interior surfaces that existed before service
- Tiny dust or lint specks under the film, which can occur in any install and do not affect performance
- Temporary haze or water pockets during curing
- Delays caused by weather, product shortages or events outside our control
- Indirect or consequential damages connected to our services
Installed film is checked from inside the vehicle in natural daylight at a normal viewing distance. Small variations within that standard are acceptable. For any issue that remains after curing, bring your vehicle to us so we can inspect it in person.
Our total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the service involved.
